DJ SolDado’s connection to the dance floor began as a disco, funk and breakdance dancer before he stepped behind the decks in Ibiza in 1985.
After starting at Angels and becoming head DJ at Éxtasis, he took charge of Space Ibiza’s after-hours sessions when the club opened in 1989. He also helped prepare the DJ booth and sound system, playing an active role in the club’s early days. At Space, he welcomed guests including Alfredo Fiorito and César de Melero.
His career took him to Italy, France and Germany, including a residency at Sixtina in Turin. Back in Ibiza, he became head DJ at Amnesia in 1991, where he also hosted his own Saturday party, Ice Explosion. He later led the DJ booths at Prisma and Kaoos, before teaming up with David Moreno for their own party at Privilege Ibiza, La Vaca.
Rooted in disco and funk, his musical journey has embraced house, acid house and a broad range of electronic sounds, always guided by groove and a connection with the crowd.
Today, he is the founder, music curator and resident DJ of Balearic Resistance. Through its weekly show on Pure Ibiza Radio and its forthcoming first party, he continues to champion musical freedom and human connection on the dance floor.
